Garment Development, Luna by MarbleYarns Garment Development, Luna by MarbleYarns
A tunic and coat for the winged pony, meant to be warm and comfortable without impeding transitions from the ground into the air.

When the coat is worn, the wing rests atop the garment, while the wing flap rests over the wing; as the wings are extended, the flap will fold up. A small lodestone at the lower corner of the flap keeps it down when the wings are full retracted.

These garments are mostly finalized, and are component of the pony project I've been working on for the last couple weeks. Got a couple other designs to finish up. I painted this in tinted greys so that I wouldn't get too distracted with color choices...so please don't mind the desaturated palette.

There are additional tidbits in the scrapbook if anyone's interested!

' ello, would you mind if I took this concept and messed around with it for a bit ?
It goes without saying that I will mention you if I decide to upload whatever I draw.

Oh. I like that idea. Would you mind if I used this design?

oh wow

more artists need to put more thought on how ponies would wear clothes, not just put a shirt over them and call it a day.

oh man this is a great design, I really love the way you've taken the wings into consideration!

Oh, pretty nice design! Looks very stylish and practical. Is the tunic inspired by the crystal armour? Straps give it a very eastern feel.
The whole garment also has one additional effect - it's making me want to go "uguu, cute Luna...". I'm not sure if I can contain it... Nope, probably not.

You know, I can't really remember seeing anything labeled crystal armour...is it something that's part of the next season of the show? (Been trying to avoid spoilers haha). The tunic's shape was based around a design from an older picture of mine, and I was also inspired by 19th century nautical uniforms, among other things.

And I'm happy to hear that there are some d'awws, because that's how I feel when I look at her too! She came out way more regal than I expected.

Oh, I don't want to spoil anything for you, then - I was referring to the design shown in one of the 3rd season songs.

I've seen the castle and airship designs in your scrapbook and I have to say I'm quite excited - I can't wait to see this project of yours.
