Only a tiny fraction of a millennium left before Luna returns—I can only guess at the potent mix of emotions within Celestia on the eve of that thousandth year.

As far as painting goes, coloring Celestia was frightening. Taking a grey brush to a white character was difficult...even though I know she should be mostly shadowed when backlit. Weird how you have to fight yourself on some things ><

This is a beautiful image, capturing a very emotive scene. I remember coming across this ages ago before I got onto DeviantART and it really stuck in my mind.

I don't know why I didn't come across this sooner but you did a good job painting Celestia. I like the shadowed ruins and what I love most is the stained glass you added into the broken window it the back, as well as the disc shattered on the floor. I like the little details.
